With a passion for environmental science and conservation, coupled with a nerdy love of tech, WatchSpotter was quite literally born out of frustration from using a poorly designed data collection application.

As a women-led venture, deeply rooted in science with extensive experience in both scientific research and development, we identified a gap for a science-centric, data-intensive platform. Recognizing the budgetary constraints in scientific research, it was vital for us to design a tool that was affordable, adaptable, and scalable, catering to scientists with varied projects and financial backing. Our background in science and tech startups emphasized the need for a user-friendly and economical solution requiring minimal training. WatchSpotter is a one-of-a-kind, cost-effective, cloud-based system that’s intuitive, adaptable to specific research goals, and scalable as projects or funds grow. We actively partner with the scientific community, stakeholders, and educational institutions. Our ultimate goal? To make global scientific collaboration more inclusive by supporting local projects that have a worldwide impact.
